Flamenco Guitar—Gypsy Style

Anybody played a flamenco guitar for ‘Le Pompe’ style? The reason I ask is a flamenco guitar is a percussive instrument—able to cut through on chords. Your thoughts on this subject?

I like it, at least for leads, for that reason.
Not necessarily what you consider a flamenco guitar, but Raphael Fays plays this style of music on a nylon string guitar. He's unlocked some incredible flamenco technique using a plectrum, and his Django-style stuff is second to none.
