I did a blind test with Primetone and Blue Chip awhile back and I could easily pick out the Blue Chip 100% of the time. While the shapes are the same the tone and feel of the pick moving through the strings is different and immediately apparent. That's not to say the Primetone is worse, because it isn't, but it's definitely not the same as a Blue Chip. The Vespel material is very different.
I'll admit going into the test I had hoped I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!
