I get missing the moustaches. I think they are visually silly and acoustically pretty bad but they are a distinctive look. I feel like maybe there's something I can do with the bridge ends to make it a more graceful but I haven't thought about it too much. Each little design move takes forever. I bet I have a month of work in designing tailpieces this year. Pretty frustrating, but I learned a lot. This one seems like a keeper.
I'm trying to keep the ornamentation minimal so probably no name on the headstock. Maybe I'll inlay some wood at some point.
The Dublin suburb Stillorgan (anglicised from the original name Irish name Teach Lorcan) is often humorously called Mickey Marbh in Irish (= Dead Mickey).
I'm pretty excited about this, I've been wanting to do this for a long time. Fully compensated Selmer bridge. I moved my bridge around to figure out the correct string length for each string and designed a bridge in my CAM software that puts each string at that distance.
Gonna string it up tomorrow. This is a test one in ebonized Sapele but this stuff is strong.
It looks a little funny but I was ending up with my bridges tilted to get close to decent intonation.

Thank you. Sometimes I wonder a bit how much learning CNC has slowed me down, at this point it definitely hasn't made me faster. But in this specific case this would be difficult or impossible to do by hand. At least, not by me.
These pictures are terrible, it looks much cooler than that. You'd not know that I was a semipro photographer in a past life. I'm going to make another one today out of Wenge and that stuff ebonizes really nicely.

You could always "tattoo" stylized moustaches onto the top if you were worried about the acoustics.
Also, for your consideration, a stylized letter "M" for your last name as below. You could call your Big Mouth model the "Big Mick."
Hmm ... referring to your instrument as your Big Mick would generate mixed reactions where I grew up.
