    The relaxing thing is great advice, but it's been hard for me to do. A good warm up can be good too. In the past I've been too self conscious to just start playing about, but getting warmed up and relaxing has been really good for me.

    Buco, my picking (and therefore tone, volume and dynamics) has improved as I've relaxed both hands (and whole body). I've also been playing my Cholet more, and it has a very sweet wholesome tone which is a pleasure, coupled with slick frets and generally lovely playability.
