He’s here! Aidan David Horowitz, born on July 8th weighing 5lbs 14oz. Little guy heard my Favino guitar nearly every day in the womb….figured I’d start him early!

For those of you who ordered the week of July 5th, I apologize for the delay in mailing your orders. We were a little busy that week!

This is the second volume of the celebrated Bickford Mandolin Method. An excellent way to improve your rest stroke picking technique (i.e. Gypsy Picking) on the mandolin.
Table of Contents
Like the first volume, there is heavy emphasis on learning the rest stroke picking technique. Bickford has analyzed this technique in great detail. He explains many of the virtuosic techniques possible with rest strokes: Gliding (or sweep picking), various tremolo effects, alternate strokes, string crossing techniques, etc.
Mandolinists with a background in bluegrass and celtic music will be pleased to find numerous hornpipes, reels, and jigs throughout the book (with picking notation).

The BASS subwoofer is the perfect complement to UNICO
or DAVID
for enhancing the performance of acoustic instruments producing strong
bass frequencies such as double bass, acoustic bass guitar, cello, etc.
This application activates the low cut feature on the UNICO or DAVID so
as to have BASS fully reproduce bass!
Combined with two SIDE
or PUB
280 units and thanks to its active stereophonic separation, it
provides the proper foundation for your PA system (e.g., the OPERA mixer with
two SIDE active loudspeakers and one BASS). The bipolar 200W RMS and
the traditional power supply featuring a toroidal transformer ensure a
controlled and extremely accurate and powerful bass reproduction.
Thanks to its compact design and efficient circuitry, BASS
delivers incredible low end in a very portable package.

SIDE has been conceived and developed
as an extension for the SCHERTLER
UNICO or as a stand-alone active loudspeaker system, using the same
high-quality components and circuitry.
From inputs to loudspeakers, all aspects of SIDE were selected for
their natural and accurate response. As in UNICO, two power amps with
an active crossover supply 150W to the 8″ woofer and 35 watts to the 1″
dome tweeter. The result is velvety, clear harmonics with a controlled,
strong low end (down to 40 Hz). The technology of biamplification
produces a very transparent sound as well as providing maximum
efficiency by properly matching amplifiers to loudspeakers.
