    Well, mine is 2016, and this other example is a 2017. But yes both are AJL 503 XO.

    is a good example of how grain can really stand out, and not be a crack, it's just grain.

    In my humble opinion (and without seeing the guitar in front of me to check for movement on the cracks . . .a stressfull process for owner and tech!!) this is finish checking. . .

    Thank you bbwood_98! I also thought it was prolly all on the surface, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t deluding myself.

    Buco, YES! “Seam” is the word. It is a seam. You have a seam. I have a seam. It is the attached earlobes of guitar morphological traits. (Also thanks for pic. That rosette is intense and hypnotic!)
