strings for new electric archtop - ibanez

constantineconstantine New York✭✭✭✭ Geronimo Mateos
Hi I see that argies are not ideal for acoustic archtops but not sure if the same is true for electric archtops. I will still use guitar for GJ and Any input on good strings would be appreciated.

Thanks - Dean

On electric I prefer Ernie Ball. I use Heavy Top/Skinny Bottom 10 to 52, because they gave a vintage round wound sound. If you wish to get one gauge heavier on the plain strings to make a more custom set get Ernie Ball single strings as they will sound balanced in volume.

D'Adarrio ase too hot and modern sounding, even the plain strings.

That said I still like D'Adarrio chromes for flat wound,

    Best,
