Much as I'd like to have it - the price is way out of my range. Even if I had that kind of money, I'm not really keen on buying a 'new' vintage-looking model, especially at 13 grand. I just prefer to put my own 'scars' on it. Even the back looks scratched. I guess it just comes down to personal aesthetics, but if I'm paying for new - I want it looking new. I'd sure like to see whoever made the prototypes go ahead and offer a line of guitars, all Selmer would have to do it 'authorize' them - they don't have to build them or market them. Just a licensing agreement, right? Just my opinion though, I'm sure it sounds and plays wonderfully.
I'll continue to save for one of Bob's replicas ;-)

Regardless, the obsessive attention to detail on this guitar is beyond belief and the sound is as good as it gets for a non-vintage instrument!
