  His comments about comping too loudly are great. This subject needs more attention imo. Would it possible for you to expand on it -- through vids or your own experience?

  i talk about it in my rhythm dvd, but wawau repeats the same thing and makes it even clearer in his .
  
  loud rhythm or rhythm that stands out too much (too many effects, etc..) is just plain bad... it totally kills the soloist...
  
  rhythm is just soooooooooo damn important!
