What's the coolest guitar you've ever owned? It can be a gypsy jazz guitar or not. Also, you dont have to still own it, it can be the one that got away. I'll get it started:
A 1967 Gibson ES-330. This is like a 335 except it's fully hollow (no wooden block running inside it to help with feedback), the pickups are different and the neck joins the body at the 17th fret, not the 19th. It was red (similar to the 335 Alvin Lee from Ten Years After played at Woodstock). Technically I didn't own it, but the soundman in the jam band I was in at the time did & he never played it. When I expressed interest in it, he said "as long as you're playing it, consider it yours". I played the bejesus out of it for 7 years. When I finally got tired of fighting the feedback, I switched to Strats & gave it back to him. I often find myself missing it & wondering where it is.

Selmer #760. Bought it in the late '80s for $3,500, from a guy in the Seattle area named Al Kobeck. He said it had been owned by Lenny Breau (as if that would be its main selling point!).
Got cold feet, didn't know how to play it right, had phosphor bronze strings on it. Asked George Gruhn if he could get me my money back on it. He said Al Kolbeck was known for saying things, but that in any event George said he "couldn't possibly sell it" for what I had paid for it. I had a friend take it to Japan, where it was put on consignment in a guitar store in Tokyo. My friend later checked back and couldn't find it in the store -- until she noticed it prominently displayed in the window! I eventually got $3,000 back from the sale and breathed a little easier, accepting the $500 loss.
Didn't own it but I used to play a 70's era yellow Fender Mustang w/red racing stripes during a math rock phase I was going through...sounded "crappy" but in a good way for the sound I was after. It's a pretty sweet looking axe, if you're into that kinda Fender thing. Still trying to convince my Dad to sell it but he's got a little Nirvana collection going including rare vinyl so he's pretty attached to it lol.
But dang. I do love my other axes but this thread's making me realize they're not particularly unique and all largely replaceable. I've posted about it before but I guess the coolest one is probably the '51 Epi Triumph Regent, has a vintage 1100 Rhythm Chief floating on it too, matches my 1952 Princeton Reverb perfectly as a decent approximation of that vintage CC archtop tone.

1981 Lefty Les Paul Custom Silverburst with factory gold parts (usually chrome). Unusual not only because it the only lefty from that original Silverburst run from 78-83, but when it famously turns a little bronze/green with time it looks perfect with the faded gold. My most prized guitar.
I also love the band Tool. 🤘😎
