@AndyW Hope you didn't have to pay too much more than the sale estimate. Also see that Federicci archtop, which is an intriguing instrument, though I've never heard of the maker.
yeah, was I was saving my cash for the Model 22, but here's its sale result - nobody fell for the supposed (bogus imho) Carmelo Catania connection. There have been a couple of similar octagram-inlayed guitars mentioned in this thread already. I'd guess they'd make better "gypsy" guitars than their big fancy arch-top cousins.
Safe to say I'll pay fifteen times this for the Model 22, commission and packaging all-in 🤨
I feel like it's the Streisand effect - if we weren't talking about Carmelo Catania et. al. here on the forum, I'd be paying a lot less for them !
Like it needs a set-up and a set of strings. A January blues-beating project.

This just listed on Ebay - looks to be the same one that sold at auction for £45 above! He wants £389 or best offer. Tell him he's dreaming! (that's a classic quote from Australian film The Castle)
I suppose there is much less visibility on these auction sites than there is on ebay. This seems to be a simple form of "thrifting." Someone taking the time (and assuming the risk) of buying something at a low price for what they think might go for a higher price in a different market/venue. I don't know if its worth the effort, but maybe someone will take a shine to the guitar? Aesthetically, I do like how the end of the fretboard matches the star rosette/soundhole.
Good spot, Jamie!

You can adjust the reach of the tailpiece which is interesting. I'd have paid £45 for it, though you would have to add auction fees and postage to that, so it would probably have ended up being more like £120. Still not bad for such a pleasing design, but I bet I wouldn't play it much!

Very interesting and cool bridge and tailpiece design.

Cool design but also a good way to make the heaviest bridge possible.
