Fitting Moustache Ends

Hello,
I have a Gitane Dg255 and often find myself, between string changes, adjusting the bridge for intonation purposes. For this reason I do not want to stick on the moustache ends or the bridge to the face of the guitar with superglue etc.
I am also afraid of double sided tape for the moustauche ends as;
1) It is not strong enough and
2) It will damage the finish.
How does everyone else have their moustache ends attatched?
Could I stick the mosutache ends to the sides of the bridge?
I would be grateful for any suggestions
