Record Transfers

Can anyone give some advice on transferring records to CDs? I have a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.2.8; are there any programs particularly well-suited to do this? Will Garage Band work? Is there any hardware I need to buy? I'm not too concerned about removing surface noise; I'd just like to be able to listen to some of the vinyl (and shellac) I have at work or in the car.

Hi Rod,

I personnally use Final Vinyl with an I Mic. The quality is quite good and above all very easy to use. I guess you can even export your files into Garage band...
