Cracked tops

My daughter dropped a book on my Saga DG250M and put a hairline crack near and parallel to the fretboard extension, cutaway side. I'll have it fixed and put a new bridge on it. Will the higher bridge be too much strain?

I'm looking at low-end grande bouche Duponts, too. Anyone have one?

If you repair the crack I doubt the higher bridge will matter...the 250M is already a bit tank like so I don't think you'll damage it.
