After thinking about my 11th "Under the Tuscan Sun" camp recently finished, something came to mind, something I have been wanting to say out loud for a while now.
After over 20 years of teaching, I genuinely believe that the most important thing any student can understand before working with any teacher is that the responsibility for learning lies entirely with them. A teacher can inspire, point a direction, and help you be more efficient on your path, but they cannot do the learning for you. Nobody can.
In this video I go into what I really think teaching and learning are about, and why understanding this distinction might change the way you approach your own musical journey.
