And while I don't think this is what he had in mind when he told me to post the rest, and while it is only called when our band jams, I'm going to add @Buco 's own "Ela's Song". Nice changes with some harmonic surprises. Everyone should check it out and call it more. Whenver we play it after some time, I'm reminded how much I like playing it.

Can I add that I love Benny Golson and his harmonies, melodies in Whisper Not and Along Came Betty. I played the latter one for a while. Whisper Not is on the album of Aurore Voilque Trio and Angelo as a guest.
Buco, didn't know you were a big Benny Golson fan, same! Fantastic link! Now I'm feeling inspired to try and arrange Just By Myself for GJ, which shouldn't be too difficult (one of my personal faves of Benny's compositions).
Yeah man, he's such a unique voice in jazz, and music in general. If you just played the chords and only then you listened to the melody, you might think this how did this pretty melody come from these really unusual chord combinations. Definitely among the best ever.

@Buco @voutoreenie yes 100% on Benny Golson! one of the all time greats - we've been playing 'whisper not' alot lately & its o our upcoming record. great tune. 'I Remeber Clifford' is also a beautiful ballad!

For the past two gigs/sessions, we've played the UK Wimbledon Tennis championship's BBC tv theme tune, called 'Light and Tuneful'. Great little song with a very pleasing chord progression.

'Those were the days'. Familiar pop tune with changes that fit right in. Also, "Groovin' high", which is 'Whispering' with a be-bop head. .. fun to play.
