Hi all, so the issue has always been with my cheapo Selmer Gitane guitar. The action is just too low for the pickup. Tried putting it in a couple of times, always the same. And there's really no alternative placement.

$175 and free shipping. I can also email or print out the manual, if you want.

I'm 100 miles west of Chicago for those in more of a meet and greet mood.

Did you try sticking it by the bridge? I did that a few times just because I favored bridge pickups in my rock days so I wanted to hear how krivo sounded there.

Funny you'd mention that. I had to do that very thing on a Regal Tricone with a National Slimline 'bucker.

Never thought about it with this one, just because of the shape being all "petite bouche-y” I guess.

Visually it'd be a little goofy but if it it works then you can look for for an even trade with somebody that might like the shape.
