This video here, uploaded by Frank Vignola's longtime co-guitarist Vinny Raniolo, implies that there was an album in making by Jimmy Rosenberg and Frank Vignola, an album that was maybe even finished, but never released: Frank Vignola and Jimmy Rosenberg
Does anyone know why wasn't it ever released and what happened to the recorded material afterwards?

This is going back MANY years, but I did ask Frank about what happened to the album. He was very kind, but alluded to the life problems many of us unfortunately are aware Jimmy has experienced. Hopefully someday it will get released.
If it was worth hearing my guess is we would have heard it by now.
I'm not sure if the session videos are still on youtube but Vinny had posted them onto his channel many years ago; from having watched them, only thing I can add is that in addition to any problems Jimmy was having, there seemed to be some friction with the studio producer/engineer as well. I know others on here have seen them as well as this was discussed at least one other thread...just can't remember which one or I'd post it
Couldn't dig it out either. I compiled this playlist when that thread was active
Found this too, mostly same videos
Django Reinhardt NY festival

@DjoeNL Thank you for that link! I had not heard that and it's great! But yeah, that's not it, not the album they were recording in the studio.
When i see Jimmy i will ask.
I'm not sure if I was aware of this album. Thanks!
I heard that Sony decided not to release it but still owns the recordings.
Maybe they were cutting back on releases and promotion in 2007.
It's too bad because Frank and Jimmy both sound great in the videos.
@Noto I bet it would be a hotseller if they ever decided to release it. Just looking at and listening to those hotel room videos of Jimmy and Frank you can tell they were both ON.
