So today I got myself a gypsy guitar. An Altamira M. Maple sides and back. Was sold as used but in mint condition. I have no recordings yet, I have to get used to it first. I will make better pictures the other day aswell.
Yes, the fretboard looks nice. I'm surprised how wide it is actually. It is wider than my Taylor. At the moment the dot at the 10th fret is also confusing me.
Yeah, Selmacs are closer in neck dimensions to classical guitars than flat tops. I think you'll get used to it pretty quickly though, Altamira's have a nice "in between" modern C profile imo.
Yes, I hope so! Funnily I noticed that bar chords are actually easier, clearer on the Altamira than the Taylor. It may be due to the wider neck because I've always disliked the B shape bar chord and wherever possible substituted it with the F shape, but today on this Altamira the B shape felt fine too. Well the strings are thinner too of course...

Looks nice, I always liked the fretboards with blonde highlights.
Congrats Joonas!

There's definitely a short period of getting used to the neck. It won't be long before your Taylor feels small and thin and Altamira just right.
