    I've been there. When I first had a guitar custom made for me, I definitely felt I didn't deserve it/wasn't good enough. But I have gotten much much better since then.

    He is right about the wait list getting longer and the cost going up.

    In August I decided to get another guitar made for me. This time it's a busato style guitar. The other one was a bigsby style guitar.

    Getting really really good guitars has made playing so much more fun and has forced me to get better. Because I need to justify the money I've spent. When I bought my first custom guitar, I was really a bass player, and it was an indulgent expense. But also a blue chip investment.
