    Who is Tico Rosenberg?

Florida is a strange and wonderous place, or maybe just an idea, where things often turn out not to be what you think they are at all. It has everything, including gypsy caravans, but watch your back.

So much so that it has become its own meme....i.e. "Florida Man"

The auction ended without the reserve being met. I wonder if it will be re-listed with the car and camper separated. It seems like most of the comments on the auction were about the car, which was super cool, but I was mostly interested in just the camper.

i love this. I have an acquaintance that throws a car festival every and ride around the IS promoting it in this camper that has the logo and info on the side. This would be a great thing to rent out to touring gypsy groups (if there were any) (if we ever made any money) (if we werent just happy cramming into a car)

    You forgot the candle.

It does not have a WC so that puts a wrinkle.

    Wow. I missed that.

I lived on a little sailboat for 3 years and used to poop in a spackle bucket but perhaps my standards are lower than most people.

I read it that it has the "wet cell", which I interpreted that it was set up for it, they just didn't use it. So it might be a few $100 or so. Most campgrounds do have nice showers and toilet facilities unless you are going dry camping. When I had mine, I never liked using it because then I had to deal with pumping it out, cleaning, etc. Plus, the space is close enough without smelling like someone's business for the next half hour.

With just the one bed in the back, it wouldn't have fit my tribe. But it is pretty sweet camper and I'm sure all the full-time campers, roadies, and camp hosts, would all come look when you pulled in. Of course, the Caddy just adds to the curiosity. Cool trailer and I hope someone gives it a good home.

After the camper and Cadillac combo did not reach reserve on Bring-A-Trailer they SOLD separately just an hour later. It so seems that some were interested in the camper alone and others in the extra low mileage Cadillac.

The camper went to a large camper dealer who wanted it in his "collection"

Some have asked "who" the seller is (was). Evidently it was me, but I think the question surrounded by other questions about "Gypsies in Florida" was more about who I am.

I am J-D. Sauser Lagrene. I've lived in those campers in Europe in the 80's & 90's and then went on to travel the world and became a legal US resident in the late 90's. While have not pursued my residency in the US further, I still have a home in SE Florida but live mostly in the Caribbean and South America.

I bought the camper from of distant relative of Ismael Reinhardt (Germany) with whom I play when in Europe (we've been in Samois together etc), and had it shipped to the port of Brunswick in the mid 2010's. While I have a very nice home (pictured in the background of one of the pictures here), I just missed "my" camper and would often set it up on a campground nearby and stay there a few weeks.

I brought a British Westmoreland camper over too (which has been sold 2 years ago), in the hopes family would come over and we'd travel the US together... it never quite came together. Ever since I have a home in Florida, "EVERYBODY" wants to visit, but it rarely materializes. Things have become extremely more complicated in Europe since "Covid".

In the Summer of 2025, we started a trip out of Florida going North with my wife and our son (14) who is an upcoming Jazz piano player (Valentino Lagrene), and end up in Nashville which I had visited in the 1990's and could not recognize anymore. Our plan was to go on 3 months/year just aimlessly and store the camper and Caddy where ever the roads would have taken it, and pick it up there the next year.

After almost 2 months out "alone", we came to grips that the distances in the US are HUGE and that we were just ALONE trying to live something which we just can't without family and friends, and with a heavy heart decided to sell the whole rig.

I can't put into words how hard it was to let it go. There are so many memories for me, my wife and my kids attached to these Tabbert Baronesse campers. It was the best one could ever hope to have. This one was in EXCELLENT condition.

IF someone is still interested in a Tabbert Baronesse, I have a last one to my name parked in Europe (enclosed storage) I can ship over. Its a 2010 one of the very last ever built before Tabbert ditched the Baronesse, Royal & Majestät line and shortly thereafter went bankrupt. It is in excellent condition as well. You are welcome to contact me here.

I should want to mention Michael Horowitz and THANK him for allowing me to post this here. If not anything more, it raised traffic and interest onliine. THANKS Mike!... J-D.
