An in-person teacher would be in almost any circumstances the best choice. As others said already.
You could also check if there are some jam sessions in your area. Perhaps you can find some people there who are willing to show you some stuff. I did so plenty of times at the jam session I help organising.
If you like, I would offer you some lessons free of charge over FaceTime/Zoom/etc. This would mean some thoughtful planning, because I'm in Germany and we have a huge time difference, but I learned from so many people for free that I'm willing to give back for free as well.
Thank you so much for the offer. Folks on here are very kind. I might take you up on it sometime later. Flaco, who's actually in the US has also reached out to help, so it might be a little easier to coordinate between us, so I'll try that first.
For me the most cost effective and generally effective way to get better has been to work on Christiaan Van Hemert's discord. I can't really qualify how superior it has been to everything else I've ever tried. It's a lot of hard work. Basically you buy his Book and then perform exercises from it for a score. It's gamified.
It is based on written music, I don't know how that would work for someone who is blind but he is amazing at telling you exactly what you need to work on.

Robin Nolan usually goes into great detail in his YT videos. Somebody compiled a playlist of his videos, check it out

Tcha Limberger, who is blind, and who plays both guitar and violin, might have some suggestions.
