    Thanks for saying this. I appreciate there are actually options in this price range but if you're interested in having luthiers in this genre here in the US, who are really dedicated to making quality instruments, this is not a price that anyone can really exist at. I mean there are Altamiras coming in from factories at that price I think. I'm in sort of a bad mood at the moment for things that don't have to do with guitars but I'm definitely in the "how long can I do this for" mood because my life would be much, much easier if I wasn't trying to make guitars. I picked a sort of rough path of trying to make something different in a traditional market but it is hard. At $4000 it's probably $5 an hour.

    Anyway, no shade on anyone who buys a $2000 handmade guitar from overseas, or even here. I would do the same if I wanted one. But it definitely is not sustainable in anyway to make guitars and sell them for $2k. One thought I have is to make myself all the guitars I could possibly want forever and then stop and just play them. I hate to think how nice that sounds...
