I've been following this channel, there are some really cool videos there.
Ok, so I don't have F. Charle's book on the Selmac guitars. Mogeli says here that they made 4 for Django. Anyone know more about what those four were?
503- Django's in the Cite de la Musique
504 - Stochelo once owned. Found a reference that it was sold to John Monteleone?
505- This guitar....owner?
Was the 4th 502 or 506?
Good question.
The channel provides an answer about short history of the 505
Thank you for posting this.
After watching Jan’s mentioning of the wartime history of this instrument, I can’t help but wonder if it should be classified as Nazi loot and be returned to the family of the original owner. Maybe the original owner had already gotten it back after the war, but I’d guess it’s likely more complicated than that.
Would be nice to hear Duved play this guitar
