This is an old German Höfner archtop guitar, probably model 456 S..

Hofners are fantastic guitars, they look amazing and even have a Beatles connection - and yet they’ve never had much value on the vintage market, which is a godsend to anyone who wants a vintage instrument on a budget.
My ‘62 Hofner even has ‘distributed by Selmer’ on the headstock - so there!
