That is very forward looking/thinking. I remember a thread from a while back about the "traumatic" first bump/scratch/ding etc. It happens all the time. If yours is already pre-distressed, it just frees you to fret (oh yes, pun intended) about your playing and not about the cosmetics of your guitar's perfect finish.

Maybe that is why it was hanging by the ducks? Ha ha.
