I purchased this Jean Barault guitar from Rocky Garcia of the Chope des Puces in Paris. It is rumored to have been built for Thomas Dutronc in 2010.
Laminated indian rosewood back and side, walnut neck with trussrod, spruce top with heat pliage, tail piece with hedgehog....Very Selmer like but without the price tag!
The old clear pickguard has been replaced and the guitar was recently refretted by Matt Brewster of 30th Street Guitars, NYC. It is very easy to play and sounds great. (Stephane W. recorded the attached snippet and can vouch for the guitar.)
Guitar can be tried on in NYC. Local pick up preferred, but guitar can also be shipped at buyer's expense. (Continental USA only.) Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
