Hey - did we add the Samson Schmitt tune Gipsy Swing (Gypsy Swing) - great tune, super fun to jam on. . . ?

    oh, one more thing - I just noticed . . . .

Balkan Triptich (not sure we need all three, but they are super worthwhile tunes and fun to try! - For sure the Doina should be played more!)

    3 songs -

    Doina

    Hora De La Banliue Sud

    Balkan Valse

(really that Doina is super pretty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfUCkBA91dk)

@bbwood_98 Doina is a lovely piece. I had not heard that one before. It has a sort of arranged, orchestral feel to it. I'm a bit hesitant to include it in a jam book--but it would be a great pick for a "change of pace/items of interest" tunebook. Perhaps that can be the next project!

Update on progress: I've completed lead sheets for the following tunes:

    • all of me
    • anniversary song (Selmer 607, etc. arrangement)
    • billet doux
    • blues en mineur (G min)
    • confessin (Stephane Wrembel, etc. arrangement)
    • dinah (G maj)
    • double whiskey
    • dream of you
    • i cant give you... (G maj)
    • i love you
    • mademoiselle (Rocky Gresset)
    • my serenade
    • some of these days
    • sweet georgia brown (G maj)
    • take the a train
    • there will never be another you (Gonzalo, etc. arrangement)
    • vette (Selmer 607 arrangement)
    • the way you look tonight (Rocky Gresset arrangement)
    • what is this thing called love?
    • yours and mine

Here are the next ones I will focus on:

    • all the things you are
    • chega de saudade
    • cherokee
    • clouds
    • donna lee
    • georgia on my mind
    • how high the moon
    • isnt she lovely
    • made in france
    • mademoiselle
    • swing 41
    • webster
    • well you needn't

Full list of possible tunes: [ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lmY9LoKX36QdOd97TyCKXfHo-tvtLX56rJMb2eoxk7Q ]

Those tunes are low-hanging fruit with lots of well-known recordings and existing charts to help inform the transcriptions.

But after those charts are done, we still have a list of 120+ tunes. For nearly all of those, I do not have charts or recordings to work from. For anyone who can help with that part of the process, PM me and I'll share edit privileges with you.

Chris- ask me if you need a chart. Here are two indexes of a bunch of fake books. I can provide most of these and others. Some I don't have.
