Same as kijiji. There are a lot of scammers responding to kijiji ads. You can learn to spot scam responses pretty quickly, but they must be successful occasionally or the scammers wouldn't keep doing this.

Yes, there are often what seem to be bargains on there, but you would need to be very careful who you are dealing with and how payment is arranged. So, if one risks an international bank transfer and then maybe receives nothing, or at best a guitar not as described, what recourse do you have? Unless you speak French, and satisfy yourself of the safety of the deal, or even better have a friend or agent in France who can act as the middle man I would advise extreme caution. I plan a visit later this year, and will try to check some out then on my travels; it works for me, but needs patience and perseverance.
