The rhythm guitars were perhaps a little too loud behind the vocals but a very pleasant change from the usual gypsy jazz stuff.

i gotta ask, since it definitely doesnt' look like you're miming and the recording quality is quite good... where are the mics hidden??? it's true that the guitars are quite prominent.. i'm guessing somewhere close to the guitars??

@dennis the mics were a way back from the band. They were 2 Audio Technica shotgun mics fairly roughly positioned, and a zoom recorder - definitely not mimed

I didn't have anything to do with the production, so I don't exactly know how much the mix was worked on, or what exactly is coming from each mic. Would be curious to know though...The shotguns certainly "zoomed in" on us - they were really far back. Would be interested to try working with some myself at some stage.
