I don't usually peddle my guitars here, but this is something different and I'm pretty excited about it. Hope you will forgive this self-promotion. Last fall Michael Bauer suggested I have a go at reproducing his well known Heart Hole Guitar by Joseph DiMauro the Elder. He was most generous to lend it to me for three months to measure and document. As the shapes are unlike the traditional Selmer, new molds and patterns were required. I had forgotten how much work this is. Spent the last couple months putting it all together and am pleased to say it is complete. Can't thank Michael Bauer enough for giving me this opportunity. Stunning -- a beautiful tribute. And, I'm sure, a beautiful instrument in its own right.

Michael Bauer told me about this, looks wonderful, I presume my next guitar will be either yours or Bob's.

    OMG!!! :-O That's just stunning.
I usually don't get an instant urge to buy a new guitar but in this case I'm having shivers just thinking about owning it.
I'm sure it's going to find a home in a matter of hours if not minutes.
I do wish I could strum a few chords at DiJ.

I am guessing this guitar won't be around when I go East toward the end of April. Too bad, because I have been really excited to see how this turned out. It looks stunning! Joseph the elder heart-holes are rare enough to begin with, and mine is even rarer, having had all the original hardware and bridge survive (which Craig accurately reproduced). It's almost everyone's favorite (Samson Schmitt, Joscho Stephan, Jan Brouwer, Christophe Lartillieux, to name just a few) from my little gaggle of guitars, including mine! Craig was looking for something new to do, and the idea came up. I have to say the guitar looks drop-dead gorgeous! In this world of endless Selmer clones, it's a refreshing and original piece of work. And Craig's skill speaks for itself. If you've played one of his guitars in the past couple of years, you know what I am talking about. I hope it finds a good home, and also hope it is the first of many.
I've never been a guitar player, but I've played one on stage.

Thanks everyone. I hope to have a video next week some time. Can't promise, but will try to work it out so that it comes to DiJ. I'll be there.
