Gonzalo posted a music video of a new tune, "Level 1":

It's different from gypsy jazz (though it's played on gypsy-jazz guitars :-) ), but it seems to be a natural progression from Gonzalo's latest compositions. I like it!

    Wow, I really like that. I hope that they come out with a disc soon.

    Do you know what brand of guitars those are?

    Thanks for posting this.

    I love Gonzalo's playing but I'm never as into the modern stuff the young guys get into. I'd choose no cajun box drum over cajun box drum every time, ya know?

    Of course Gonzalo should totally explore the different sides of his original music; he's a stupendous badass. I'm just saying that personally I prefer traditional gypsy jazz without the arranged sections. The solo is the star for me and I like my gypsy jazz dans l'herbe, as it were.

    Is this band based in US or in Argentina? The video is beautifully shot, gorgeous lighting and colours. Music not really my cup of tea, kinda generic sounding I much prefer gonzo's jazzier stuff !

    @wim I'm 99% sure it's based in Argentina.

    Hmm. Joe Satriani in wind-down, unplugged mode. Probably more fun to play than to listen to. Sorry.
    In the age of the Orange Man, thank God we got the blues ...
  • I quite enjoyed it

    I find that when an artist can compose without stylistic boundaries, he enters something very personal into the world and its conglomeration of music. This product is shaped by the artist's unique tastes, experiences, and view of the world. Very few people can ever achieve anything like this as it requires immense dedication and immeasurable talent.

    Gonzalo is one of these people.

    As both a mentor and a hero, he continues to inspire me with the unquestionable expressive quality and fire within his music. I am lucky enough to have his guidance and to know him and his music, and am always in awe of his musical progress towards the next melody, the next song, etc.

    Looking forward to what he does next!
