A quick question: When you play a bossa rhythm, are you using the same hand and pick positions you use when playing pompe?

Yeah...pretty much. The same basic principles apply...loose wrist, use of gravity, etc. I'll think more about it next time I'm doing a latin tune....but I don't think there's an special technique required for the bossa.
