Excellent thread, which really helps illustrate where Django's music intersects with the fabulous world of French popular song at that time. Important contextual stuff which I feel should not be overlooked.
This is also the style of music I play with our band Fleur de Paris, with French chanteuse Lo Broderick.
    Here's our version of Nuages:

    Hope you like it.

Love England, spent a great few weeks there many years ago, on a brewery tour through the midlands...Hook Norton, ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.

As far as spreading the word, already have! My weekly djam group has gotten the nod, and I plan on continuing. You guys have a wonderful, wonderful sound, Martin, great to hear.

Hook Norton is one of my faves. Didn't expect to find that name on here! Hmmm... Django, chanson and Old Hooky, I think we might be on to something...
    Thanks again Paul.

@martin b - your group is wonderful! I'm so glad you shared! My band is based out of Chicago and is in a similar vein- www.fumeegypsyproject.com . Let me know the next time you guys are performing in the states- I would love to check you out!

I just received a couple of pieces of vintage sheet music that I found online and thought I'd share- Thank you all again for your help!

Also, if anyone stumbles across the lyrics or original sheet music with lyrics to Minor Swing, let me know. That's the last one I'm hunting for now!
