  I haven't tried the newer Unicos, but I like the old design. Along with a Side (or second Unico) they make a really nice small PA. I actually like the strong sub-bass response which the new design addresses/ameliorates, esp for PA though I often use external mixer or equalization. There is also the bass cut switch, of course.
  
  I am not interested in buying another right now, but could be at some point.

  Thanks to all who asked about the Schertler, it's been sold but the Jazzkat is still available.
