From the playlist Buco posted, I just can't get over the video of Swing 42 - to my ears, they sound near-identical to the Django recording, right down to the clarinetist's tone too. Makes me realize I play it so differently than the original recording, good inspiration to tighten up the melody rhythm closer to what Django's playing again.
I haven't watched these in forever, I'm slowly revisiting myself now. It's super neat to see them in the studio, how they react to music, to each other, comments and gestures after they played the ending etc...

Swing 42, the magic is in the harmony line for that one I think. It goes in interesting directions. Not sure I've ever seen it written down..
