I wish! Cliff passed on the Puppets tour. So it was Jason "Newkid" during and Justice For All.

@bbwood_98 I always used to see the sandwich board advertising Charlie Byrd playing when I lived in Annapolis but I wasn't into jazz at the time and didn't know who he was. Big missed opportunity.

Ricky Lee Jones- Chuck E’s in love tour. I think 1980. Then Johnny Winter. Then BB King/ Bobby Blue Bland opened. Early 80s.

@billyshakes I often see one or two of our local rock players who decline to check out great jazz that is right next door here in my 'hood in Brooklyn. I think that happens a lot. I try to check out whatever I have the energy and $$ for! lol.

To be fair, I was only ~17-20 yo so not very well experienced on all things music yet. But your point is important and one I share. If I have the $$, and sometimes even if I don't have the energy, I'll rally to see musical acts I care to see. Good musicians, regardless of genre, are still good musicians. If one appreciates music, even if the style isn't your favorite, you can't really go wrong seeing the greats.
