I talk to a repair tech guy said he's gonna just have to knock out the hole piece and just patch so that's a relief, I was definitely quite thrown by this last night in the middle of practicing, just on my way to sit outside practice some backing tracks before bed. And wham.
I'd like to think so he's been doing guitar repair for at least 20years, he seems pretty confident in it, Im not at all worried about cosmetics of it, the hole is in the bottom, if he's not up to getting this done right do you have any recommendations
Dan Erlewine is in Ohio. I never understand if he accepts new work or not. He's the OG guitar repair guy and probably the most conscientious human being on the planet. I'd check in with him. He's in Athens. Looks like a way from you but he would know who's out there.
I mean, I don't know what the value of the guitar is. If you really don't care, and it's a cheap guitar, then sure, anyone can probably patch it to some degree. It will just massively devalue the guitar if they don't do a good job.

Pretty sure I did up a new irw bridge on this nice guitar not long before you got it. If there’s no structural-integrity damage (like a cracked top, or the neck getting jolted out of the neck joint, etc) “Do not fix” for that bashed in side hole is totally an option, and what I recommend. Battle scars are cool.

Ouch! Sorry to see that.
I might be a bit over reacting, I think I can find someone locally to fix this , it seems pretty well intact , I wish I had baby hands for a day.
🤕

That's a pretty significant repair, I would make sure you're dealing with someone good.

Looks like you've got yourself a soundport 😉
