Hi everyone, I’m able to tack onto a work trip and attend the festival in Fontainebleau for the first time. I had booked an Airbnb in Fontainebleau and they just cancelled on me. I see most of the good accommodations are now booked. I understand that most of the action is in the Samoreau campground. How are people from the US camping there? Are you carrying tents and sleeping bags from the US, are you renting a car and sleeping in the car, are there some other accommodations? What about showers and things like that? I’m a bit perplexed about how to make this all work internationally! I understand that some people just show up with cash and make it work somehow, I’m just trying to understand more.

@flaco If you can- I'd just bring a tent and a sleeping bag. and earplugs if you are sensitive to noise while trying to sleep. Try to reserve in advance if you can. There is a link somewhere here with the email to the camping. You can get there pretty easy on the RER, and a bit of a hike from the train. There are showers there for sure, and usually pretty ok as far as that goes - showers and bathrooms are part of the deal there. I have always just camped. But I am pretty easy about all of that & Don't mind camping.
There was a rather excellent Patisserie right near the camping - but they are not open on Sunday. There was also a Carfour in walking distance.
Bon Chance! Wish I could go! Next year man.
