    Thanks for the measurement. Stimer was a brand from the mid 40's until the 80's or 90's. They also made accordion pickups and tube amps.

    If I understand correctly, by the 90's (?) the company was dormant, then Dupont registered the "Stimer" trademark and begins to make copies. The original family was upset about the brand name being opportunistically taken like that, and also that the new pickups being produced under the Stimer name were not great.

    I thought that last picture was a museum display somewhere. I was going to ask where it was from, but it just appears to be a color (or colorized) version of the same show as the middle pic. Neat stuff.

    Hi,

    The last picture is mine. It's a not a colorized photo but a color reversal film taken by Jean Guen, the true founder of Stimer (joinded later by his brother Yves).

    @wim my Yves Guen ST48 is placed in the middle of the sound hole, but you will prefer it as much to the fretboard for more picking space. From the top to strings i measure 14mm, but i placed it a little higher cause it rattles on the top. You can adjust the magnets.
