I caught the Cedar Rapids and Chicago shows. In addition to being - well Birelli - he's one of the most pleasant people you'll ever meet.

Also, I know Bireli played at the Chicago gypsy jazz festival some time ago -- it may have been 2005 too (?).

Adrian, Notre Dame would be a university venue near-ish Chicago that could support him, too. I'd love to see him do a clinic. Did you know Notre Dame has the oldest college jazz festival in the US? There are a ton of folkie strummers here (meh). Bireli could set this place on fire!
