My friend is also looking for a GJ guitar and he has a G to spend. I'm helping him find one and i think he might just be able to get a used Manouche. Let me know if anyone knows anything.

I think for a grand, your friend is likely going to end up with a Saga or Asian Dell Arte. Nothing wrong with that. A used Manouche is going to run him a bit more. If he's interested, send me a PM.

I just got back from vacation and saw your post. I have a Manouche Modele Jazz that I am thinking about selling for about that price. It has a Schatten pickup installed. A friend has been borrowing it while I was gone and may be interested in buying it, but let me know if you are still looking for one like this and I will send more info.
