Any recommendations for bringing a GJ guitar on a plane? I've heard horror stories. Is my best best to buy a fiberglass case? Or carry it with me?
Thanks.

I've always flown Southwest and have never had any hassles with them carrying the guitar onboard. (For DIJ, Southwest flies into Hartford.)
Also, if you pay the extra money to guarantee early boarding, it's a huge stress reliever.

I've had good luck with the fiberglass case. On my flight last year with other DIJ guys they wouldn't let any guitars in overhead (think it was United and the usual jam packed flight).

You should check the
Department of Transportation's site for their recent final ruling on traveling with a musical instrument
. It also contains tips for traveling with same.
