I have performed this with a good singer and she did a great job, the lyrics were really just sounds.
I have also heard it where I found the lyrics not to my taste at all.
One of my fave covers is Paul Desmond with Ed Bickert on guitar. That, a QHCF and a Rosenberg Trio version are my fave 3
