Any experience using DPA 4099g microphone on Selmer/Maccaferri guitars on live situations? Different solutions for different occasions for me: 1) Carlos Sensor with either EDB-2 preamp or AER Compact 60 2) DPA 4099 mic with EDB-2. Usually, the mic sounds very bright and needs some EQ fiddling. I try to avoid using the DPA with the AER. 3) For electric sound I use a Pêche pickup in conjunction with a Pêche amp.… -

I use the piezo in my Dupont, so that is probably why I do not have feedback issues compared to the AT mic. I have also played through it using a DPA 4099 mic with no problems (with the PA being in front of me). -

There are a bunch of people here in NYC & Brooklyn using the Henricksen amps, I still like my AER and even more my Acoustic image amps way more (also the both have full channels for vocals/another instrument). I'll jump in and mention my pre-amp, sadly not the cheapest, but mostly it works quite well even at fairly loud volumes through both my Roland AC-60, Acoustic image Coda and my AER Compact. I generally run a DPA 4099 through a headway edb-2 into whatever amp I am using. pretty good eq, and notch filtration on it- so mostly… -

@tallen - I use a few different things - typically: Krivo through headway preamp to an Ampeg Reverbrocket (especially if there is percussion/brass) or DPA 4099 through headway preamp to acoustic image coda if things are quieter and I have some distance. B. -

Thanks Christophe for your advice. The mic-position for rythm guitar you sugessted is interesting, I never recorded rythm so far but I will try out. With the Lewitt I recorded flat.
