2007 Park Elan

Shelley Park needs no introduction. Over the past two decades she has earned a reputation as one of the top makers of Selmer style guitars. Her guitars are known for their impeccable workmanship, aesthetic beauty, and warm satisfying tone. This guitar is no exception.

The Elan model features a short 640mm scale, 15 3/4 " lower bout, and a 3 15/16" body depth. The top is European bear claw spruce, the back and sides are made of solid highly flamed European maple and the binding is koa. The neck is made of flamed European maple and has a two piece ebony spline. The ebony fingerboard has the modern, sleek look which is free of fingerboard markers, but does have side dots for positioning. Hardware includes a set of closed Miller brass tuners and a DR tailpiece.

This instrument has a warm, and balanced tone that makes it a great all around instrument. It's versatile sound makes it a capable lead and rhythm Gypsy jazz guitar, but it can also function well in other styles such as swing, modern jazz, and even folk. It projects nicely, and the short scale and low action allow for the smooth, easily playability that many of the long scale guitars lack.

This used guitar is in dead mint condition without even the slightest signs of wear.. This instrument is an astounding deal as "fully loaded" model like this would be over $6000 new.
