Pros: Quality and price
I already owned this model myself and continue to use it when playing outdoor gigs or to practice on when travelling. It's a great instrument to get started on (or to continue on of course). It cuts enough to handle lead work, and is loud enough to handle rhythm work. This second instrument ordered was for a student, and I recommend this particular instrument to all of my new gypsy-jazzers. The short scale makes it easy on little hands or newer players (or very easy on those used to playing already!) and the price is very reasonable considering the long-life, versatility, and playability of this particular model. Can't compare to a hand-made model at all, but that's apples and oranges if you ask me...

Play faster, louder, and with better tone by learning the rest-stroke picking technique used by Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Bireli Lagrene, and Fapy Lafertin.
The original "Wegen" Gypsy Guitar pick. 3.5mm thick, 30mm long, 26mm wide.
The original Gypsy jazz strings! Used by Django Reinhard and nearly every other Gypsy guitarist.
