Pros: Well constructed . Sound, playability. Wide D neck
Very good for the money. Great neck and action, two way truss rod . Sturdy and will last. I play it every day in the sun and in the cold. Sounds very good authentic gypsy sound. Not loud enough for serious gigs but does well in smaller places. Missing some on the bass side.

Paris Swing GG-39 guitar
I did not buy from Djangobooks, but picked up a good deal on eBay. What I ended up with may be a factory second, given the many slight inaccuracies in the placement of binding. BUT on the whole a nicely made guitar. Good tuners, reasonable bridge and tail, good fret dressing. Never bothered to set it up, since it has been okay from the start. Various woods look real, are nice. Tone is pretty okay, although the sound does not exactly leap off the top. Neck is squarish D profile, scale is long (as described), but I am working with it fine although having small hands. Very positive impression.

Pros: dr tailpiece
for the money, i don't see how you can do better. this a quality low-end guitar. decent tone, volume and playability right out of the box. i had originally thought of buying a higher-end guitar, and, no doubt, this is where i'm headed, but, before purchase became aware of the paris swing 39. good all-around guitar. fits my needs (stage to campfire). josh did a nice professional gypsy set-up @ 3mm. staff at djangobooks very professional, and, had you not already figured it out, the best gypsy site on the planet. wonky fiedler les singes volants

Play faster, louder, and with better tone by learning the rest-stroke picking technique used by Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Bireli Lagrene, and Fapy Lafertin.
The original "Wegen" Gypsy Guitar pick. 3.5mm thick, 30mm long, 26mm wide.
The original Gypsy jazz strings! Used by Django Reinhard and nearly every other Gypsy guitarist.
