This guitar is nothing short of a maple extravaganza! It features gorgeous European maple back, sides, and neck...and has maple binding as well!
This instrument is in very good condition. It shows some signs of use, just a few small scratches and dings on the body. The frets have very little wear. At one point there was a bigtone pickup but that was removed. There is still an unwired endpin jack and the hole for the wire in the top was filled. There is a strap pin in the heel.
Action is set at a very low 2.2mm and is currently strung with 11 gauge Argentines.
I really love the sound of this one...the maple gives the guitar a nice "bite," which helps balance the thicker lows that D holes always have. In many ways this guitar has the perfect compromise between bass and treble. It's what everyone is looking for, a warm D hole that can still produce punchy leads! Once again, Maurice Dupont comes up with the goods...
The headstock is signed by Bireli Lagrene!
