playing in the sun

how carefull should one be playing outside in the hot sun?
can my guitar take it?
it's getting real hot here... around 30°C in the sun

I live near the beach and play down there on the boardwalk nearly every day after work to unwind (and on weekends). The direct sun and wind wreaks havoc on guitars and I only use my little Martin LXK (high pressure laminate guitar). It can take it (built like a tank), but I would't subject a good quality guitar to that kind of exposusure. Beaters are cool. Nice to have a guitar to take anywhere and bang around.
